Helpful at check in, offer half price greens fee at local course for campers. Nicely stocked store, easy dump station, well-cared for and clean. Lovely pool and playground areas. We were on the edge of the Verizon coverage area.... sometimes our internet connection worked, sometimes it didn't. Sites had a metal picnic table, sturdy lantern hook, most had a fire ring, BBQ grill, and concrete pad. Plenty wide for our single slide, and deep enough that we could pull the 35' motorhome in, and still easily fit the Tahoe in front of it to park. Cable service was excellent, even providing some HD channels. Showers and bathhouse were clean and well-kept. Lovely shaded flat sites, some with trees adjacent, some more open. Most sites were back in, a few pull throughs. MANY MANY MANY MANY deer roaming all around the campground, between units, around picnic tables, MANY deer. Owls and coyotes at night, squirrels during the day. This was a great place to spend some time! Weekdays bring the sounds of military aircraft overhead and automatic fire from local ranges. Water pressure, as mentioned before, was low. Not unbearable, but low. Location is right off 165, clearly marked. Convenience stores close, and driving to downtown Columbus GA takes approximately 20 minutes. My only complaint was a lack of trash receptacles. The only dumpsters we saw were all the way at the entrance, so we had to take our smelly trash and doggy doo bags inside and drive them to the entrance. In spite of this minor inconvenience, we'll be back.

Quiet, pleasant place to spend some time. Concrete pads were nice and level everywhere we looked. Nice area to ride a bicycle, little traffic. Lots of tall pine trees to shade you. Sites directly on the lakefront are about $28 a night for water and electricity, sites in the same loop not on the lakefront are $14 for water and electricity. Tennis courts are rough, green-painted asphalt which is *not* even. Picnic tables at each site, as well as a fire ring or a small BBQ grill. My only real complaint was that there were not enough garbage receptacles, nor was there any pickup service. For the entire loop of about 60 sites, there was a single dumpster, and it was at the very beginning of the road, quitea hike. All said, it was a nice place, for a nice quiet stay. We'd go back again.

What a little gem in the middle of Orlando, just minutes from Universal Studios. Some sites are more level than others, some turns are tight. Just take it slow and easy. Lovely sites, trees, some bearing fruit. Nice bathhouse, and a lovely little laundry room with clean working machines. Not much traffic in the campground, it's a bit of a drive from the main entrance, but it's a lovely drive. Our GPS seemed to think that we needed to make a U-turn, but there's now a traffic light at the entrance, so it's not necessary. Quiet at night, and had a lot of people staying there for extended times. We will return, but make reservations early, it's a small park, and a great value!

Lovely, shaded, so it was cool, even on hot days. Each site in the loop has a path leading to the lakeside.... beautiful setting. Picnic table provided, as well as hook to hang lantern, and a leveled gravel pad for tents. Sites are *FAIRLY* level, but our site (23) had a tough time leveling due to the slant from the road to the lake.... it was a bear!! Beautiful place, though.... make reservations ahead of time!

Small, intimate park with level sites, concrete pads, and lighted utility poles at each site. The majority of the sites are shaded, but with little privacy between them. Nice quality picnic tables are provided. Restrooms and showers are exceptionally clean, the floors gleamed! Reasonable walk to the beach provided via 3-4 access paths. Apparently, they are building a boardwalk to the beach on one of the main paths, there were orange cones, twine, and poles set to mark the layout. Gorgeous beaches, very clean and well-kept. Great dog walk area, and we did not notice a large amount of dog droppings as other campers did, perhaps that has changed. Cottages were lovely, well-kept, cleaned quickly, and nicely appointed. Wonderfully shaded, easy in and out. We stayed in loop "C" at space 62, and I've posted photos of it at http://www.flickr.com/photos/truesoaps/436491222/ for you to see. Nice touches are a fire ring, substantial picnic table, small BBQ grill, and a lantern pole at each site. We checked in after regular hours, and there were volunteers on duty at the check in point to help us, as well as a campground host. Park ranger even stopped by as we were setting up to welcome us. There was a man that was scooping out fire rings and the BBQ grills, and sweeping off the picnic tables. Really well maintained, comfy, quiet, and a fabulous golf course.

Very flat location, showers were very clean, well-lighted, and restrooms were clean as well. No shaded spots available, a pretty bare-bones location, but very convenient for the arts and crafts show where we exhibit. Park close to the old buildings to avoid some street noise. And, be prepared to drive over a curb to get to the sites, we couldn't locate any other way to access the area. No hosts, no one on site to assist you. No picnic tables, fire rings, no amenities at all, pull in next to the poles, plug in to water and electricity, and that's all there is. No numbers, no markers, no site indicators. Wal-Mart is only a few miles away. Don't miss Bruster's Ice Cream in front of Wal-Mart - excellent ice cream.
